Yuka Sakazaki has reportedly suffered a legitimate injury.
Sakazaki competed on the April 20 episode of AEW Rampage, where she faced Emi Sakura. During the match, Sakura suffered an apparent injury, as she fell to the floor. She limped and continued to favor her leg, but she finished the match.
In the Daily Update, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Sakura’s injury was legitimate. However, Meltzer wrote that the nature of the injury was unclear, as were the “ramifications” regarding how long she may be sidelined.
Yuka Sakazaki previously graduated from TJPW. She returned to AEW at the April 3 taping of AEW Collision. She also competed at the ROH tapings on April 17.
