Jade Cargill: WrestleMania 40 Match Was Not In The Plan, It Was Sprung Upon Me

Jade Cargill reflects on her WrestleMania debut and says it was not initially part of the plan.

Jade Cargill made her WrestleMania debut when she teamed up with Bianca Belair and Naomi to defeat Damage CTRL at WWE WrestleMania 40.

Speaking on The Babyfaces Podcast, Jade Cargill was asked to reflect on competing at her first WrestleMania.

“It was amazing. I’ve never been in front of that many people in my life for any type of performance,” Jade Cargill said. “The bigger the better for me. The more people, the more I can get into myself, the more I’m gonna act up and go crazy on the stage. It was time as well at that, I’ve never attended a WrestleMania. I always was a viewer from home.

“So for me to be there on stage in front of that many people, in front of a bunch of people backstage that wanted to see me do amazing and go out there and excel, it was something that I have never been a part of. The fan base, the WWE Universe, it was just something that was unmatched.”

Jade Cargill: WrestleMania Wasn’t In The Plan

Jade Cargill was also asked about the road to WrestleMania, as it was noted that she only made sporadic appearances heading into the show. She noted that there was a plan, and WrestleMania 40 was not initially in it. However, she said that working with Belair has been a dream.

“We had a plan, we stuck to the plan. Mania was never in the plan, so it was just sprung upon me. Working with Bianca has been a dream because this is somebody that they pinned [us] against each other. Everybody wanted to see against one other, rather than working with one another. Like I told everybody, just trust the plan. Best believe, everything is written. They have things planned out for weeks and months in advance.

“So I was like, everybody just stay patient. As well as the things I’m doing right now, there’s a plan to everything. You don’t think all of this is thought out? Especially with me, they want to present me in the best way possible like they have been doing. They want me to go out there and excel and kill the business because they know I can do that, and they’re trusting to do to put me out there and do these things. But it’s been great. They follow through with the plan. I have a great relationship with Nick, and I have a great relationship with Paul [Levesque], and we’re sticking to the plan.”

WrestleZone will have coverage of WWE SmackDown as it airs on April 19.
