WWE Signs Next Gen Star Julian Baldi

Julian Baldi signed a contract with WWE this week.

The former Valdosa State University football player appeared on the “WWE: Next Gen” series on Roku. John Cena produced the program, and premiered during the week of the historic WrestleMania XL event.

At six foot one and weighing 230lbs, he looks to be exactly the build that the WWE were looking for. He earned third team NJCAA All-America honors in 2019, which may be what alerted the WWE to his presence and encourage them to sign him.

Julian Baldi revealed on social media that he had officially signed a contract with the company. He tagged NXT in the Tweet, indicating that he will likely report to the WWE Performance Centre after joining the WWE.

IT’S OFFICIAL – It had to be kept a secret but I can finally announce that I have signed with WWE! Andiamo #WWENextGen #wwenxt

He recently fought against Joe Gacy, Dion Lennox, & Drake Morreau at a house show in Venice, Florida. The fact Julian Baldo is already wrestling alongside more establish talent shows that Shawn Michaels have faith in him to succeed.

Baldi has also been competing at WWE NXT live events. His most recent match took place at the April 13 event in Venice, Florida which saw him on the losing end of a six-person tag-team match against Joe Gacy, Dion Lennox, & Drake Morreaux.
