The duo of DIY have earned themselves the first match for the newly named WWE World Tag Team Championships.
During tonight’s episode of WWE RAW, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa were able to take down the New Day and the Creed Brothers in a triple-threat tag team match.
The match was announced by Adam Pearce shortly after Awesome Truth were given their brand new tag team titles, which now had the name of WWE World Tag Team Championships instead of the previous WWE RAW Tag Team Championships.
Gargano and Ciampa walked out on top after the pair hit Xavier Woods with a running knee and superkick combo. Now, they’ll face off against The Miz and R-Truth at a later date for the titles.
