AEW Collision Results – April 13, 2024
This week’s episode of AEW Collision kicks off with Tony Schiavone and Daddy Magic announcing that Jon Moxley is the new IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. Moxley is scheduled for Dynamite this Wednesday.
Claudio Castagnoli and Bryan Danielson are backstage. Danielson says it’s been a big week for the Blackpool Combat Club and runs down everything that’s gone down for them and what will occur over the next week. Castagnoli and Danielson joke about Don Callis telling Powerhouse Hobbs and Kyle Fletcher that it’s not about winning tonight; it’s about hurting his opponents.
Danielson says that’s not going to fly tonight, as he goes out there every night to hurt people. Danielson says Callis will see it tonight at Dynamite and next Sunday at Dynasty.
House of Black defeated Dante Martin, Action Andretti, and Matt Sydal
- Brody King hits a Cannonball on Matt Sydal to score the pinfall victory for his team.
Toni Storm and Mariah May are backstage. Storms says we saw a lot on Dynamite and everyone better get used to it. Lexy Nair tries to bring up the kiss between Mariah and Mina to Toni, but Mariah cuts her off and changes the subject. Storm directs her attention to AZM, whom she’ll face later on tonight.
It’s announced that Taz will broker a meeting between HOOK and Chris Jericho this Wednesday on Dynamite.
Katsuyori Shibata defeated Lee Moriarty (w/ Shane Taylor Promotions)
- Katsuyori Shibata hits Lee Moriarty with the PK to score the pinfall victory.
A loss for Shane Taylor Promotions on AEW Collision
Shane Taylor attacks Shibata after the match. This brings out HOOK, who lays out Moriarty and then goes face-to-face with Taylor. Taylor backs out of the ring and joins Moriarty and Agogo at ringside.
A highlight package of Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor airs, showcasing the wins from Athena and Billie Starkz. Athena and Billie Starkz are backstage, and it’s announced Athena is in the main event of Battle of the Belts X later on tonight.
Athena says she deserves this, and she knows Red Velvet is a threat, but she’s going to make an example of her tonight and show the world what they’ve been missing.
The Undisputed Kingdom are backstage. Roderick Strong gets mad at Lexy Nair for crediting Wardlow for their recent success. Strong says he’s doing it on his own, just like his good friend Kyle O’Reilly who has inspired him. Strong says he’s going to give Rocky Romero the beating of a lifetime tonight.
Daniel Garcia defeated Angelico (w/ Serpentico)
- Daniel Garcia locks Angelico in a heel hook to win the match by submission.
Is PAC ready for Kazuchika Okada at AEW Dynasty?
PAC is backstage. PAC thanks Okada for accepting his challenge and smashing him in the head with a chair. The Bastard says he has a perpetual headache that serves as motivation to remind everyone of who he is. PAC says Okada may think he’s God’s gift to professional wrestling, but he’s wrong; he’s crap. PAC says he’ll prove it at Dynasty next Sunday in front of the entire world.
AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm (w/ Mariah May) defeated AZM (w/ Anna Jay) in an Eliminator Match
- Mariah May and Anna Jay brawl to the back mid-match. Toni Storm hits AZM with Storm Zero to score the pinfall victory.
Mariah May returns to the ring to celebrate with Toni Storm on her big win.
Red Velvet is backstage. Velvet says she’s laying out Athena tonight in the main event of Battle of the Belts. Velvet says she’s going to prove to Athena that it was a mistake to come into her house.
Mark Briscoe is backstage. Briscoe says he knows what House of Black is doing, trying to make him fear them. Briscoe says he fears no man and tells House of Black to be afraid at Dynasty.
Thunder Rosa has words for Toni Storm ahead of AEW Dynasty
Tony Schiavone is on the stage and brings out Thunder Rosa. Thunder Rosa thanks the fans in the arena and everyone watching at home for making her comeback so special. Rosa says she doesn’t need Deonna Purrazzo’s help to win her championship back at Dynasty.
Rosa says she’s fought hard to be in AEW, and she’s still there because it’s where the best wrestle. Thunder says she doesn’t know what happened to Storm while she was out injured but she has an opportunity to win her title at Dynasty. Rosa says she will carry the title and the pride of her people next Sunday night. Rosa says she will drag Toni Storm’s soul to hell.
Deonna Purrazzo is backstage. Purrazzo says if Thunder Rosa doesn’t want her help, that’s fine; she’ll help herself. Purrazzo doesn’t believe Storm is the proper face as the AEW Women’s World Champion. Deonna challenges Mariah May to a match next week and says she’s going to break her arm.
It’s announced by Tony Schiavone and Daddy Magic that the AEW World Tag Team Tournament Finals at Dynasty between FTR and The Young Bucks will now be contested in a ladder match.
Kyle Fletcher and Powerhouse Hobbs are backstage. Fletcher says their mission tonight is to protect “The Golden Goose,” which is Will Ospreay. Powerhouse Hobbs says he guarantees that Bryan Danielson won’t be able to walk out on his own tonight after their match.
It’s time… for the main event of AEW Collision!
Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli defeated Kyle Fletcher and Powerhouse Hobbs
- Claudio Castagnoli hits Kyle Fletcher with the Neutralizer to score the pinfall victory for his team.
Konosuke Takeshita shows up and assists Hobbs and Fletcher in the beatdown of Danielson and Castagnoli. Takeshita hits a brainbuster on Danielson on the ramp as AEW Collision goes off the air.
