Jon Moxley Defeats Tetsuya Naito, Wins IWGP World Title At NJPW Windy City Riot

Jon Moxley made history with his victory at NJPW Windy City Riot, where he won the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

In the main event of NJPW Windy City Riot, Jon Moxley defeated Tetsuya Naito to win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. It took multiple Death Riders, but in the end, Moxley, who was bleeding profusely, emerged victorious.

With the win, Moxley became the first Global Grand Slam World Champion, as he is the first wrestler to win the world title in WWE, AEW, and NJPW. The loss marked the end of Naito’s reign, which began when he defeated SANADA at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18.

After the match, Jon Moxley said he wanted to defend the title against his ally, Shota Umino. Instead, Ren Narita attacked him from behind and said he would be the next challenger. Umino made the save, but Moxley seemingly accepted the challenge.

Naito escapes and hits Moxley with some stiff shots. Moxley drops him with a cutter and hits the Death Rider for a two-count. Naito hits Destino for a two-count. Moxley gets a two-count with a Death Rider. He hits a lariat. Moxley gets the win with a Death Rider.
