CM Punk: Everybody’s Worried About Who I Was Or Who I Am, You Should Worry About Who I’m Becoming

CM Punk discusses attacking Drew McIntyre at WWE WrestleMania 40 Night Two.

Drew McIntyre beat Seth Rollins to win the World Heavyweight Championship on Sunday. He then confronted Punk, who was on commentary. Punk attacked him, which led to Damian Priest successfully cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase on McIntyre.

Speaking on ESPN after the show, CM Punk commented on his actions.

“I wanted to make Drew interesting,” he said. “I wanted to show him that what’s important isn’t on the internet. What’s important is inside the building. Man, those people, after his two matches, yes, he had two. He won one, he lost the important one. They were chanting, ‘CM Punk.'”

CM Punk’s Message To Drew McIntyre

CM Punk was then asked to cut a promo on Drew McIntyre. He made it clear that he was determined to get revenge and prove that WWE was his house.

“Drew McIntyre prayed for me to be injured. He prayed for it to happen,” Punk said. “He asked for help, he looked above and he said, ‘God, please, take CM Punk out so I can main-event WrestleMania 40.’ I don’t pray for things to happen. I make them happen. I’m gonna keep this up until Drew loses his mind. This is my house. I came back here to prove it. Everybody’s worried about who I was, who I am now. You should worry about who I’m becoming.”
