Drew McIntyre Beats Seth Rollins, Wins World Heavyweight Title At WrestleMania 40

Drew McIntyre won the gold at WWE WrestleMania 40 Night Two, but he quickly lost it.

McIntyre challenged Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship in the opening match at WrestleMania 40 Night Two. With CM Punk watching on from ringside, McIntyre ultimately defeated Rollins to win the title. It took several Claymores, but McIntyre scored the three count and captured a world title for the first time since 2020.

However, McIntyre confronted Punk at the commentary team after the bout. Punk took the fight to McIntyre and laid him out. Damoan Priest then cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on McIntyre to win the title.

Rollins turns around, and McIntyre hits the Claymore again! Rollins kicks out. After clearing off the commentary desk, McIntyre stares down Punk. Rollins escapes McIntyre’s table powerbomb attempt. Rollins Stomps McIntyre on the commentary desk. McIntyre rolls off the desk. Rollins sends McIntyre back into the ring. McIntyre hits another Claymore! Rollins kicks out again! McIntyre lands another Claymore! McIntyre pins Rollins!
