Roman Reigns: Cody Rhodes Is Reading The Wrong Book, We Don’t Care About His Story

Roman Reigns looks forward to closing the book on Cody Rhodes.

For the second year in a row, Cody Rhodes will aim to finish the story by dethroning Roman Reigns. Reigns beat him to retain the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39, and he will challenge for the gold again at WrestleMania 40.

Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Roman Reigns, alongside The Rock, sent a message to Cody Rhodes when he was asked what “finishing the story” meant.

“I think Cody’s reading the wrong book at this point,” Roman Reigns. “Because we don’t care about his story. It’s a funny thing because [turns to The Rock] you told me this a long time ago. In the wrestling business, there’s no call sheet. There’s no, he’s number one, he’s number two. So everybody in our roster believes they’re number one. So it’s just a shark tank.

“Everybody’s trying to take each other out. This guy’s been chasing me for two years now. I’ve beaten him, we’ve crossed this bridge already. So this is where we close the book completely on this guy, Cody Rhodes, and we display what the most powerful family in pro wrestling is all about. That’s what this weekend is all about.”

WrestleZone will have coverage of WWE WrestleMania 40 as it airs on April 6 and 7.
