Cody Rhodes Comments On Accusations Against Vince McMahon

Cody Rhodes weighs in on addressing Vince McMahon‘s lawsuit.

During a recent appearance on MMA Hour, Ariel Helwani commended Cody Rhodes for how he addressed the sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon during the Royal Rumble press conference. Rhodes further commented on the situation by explaining that you have to be truthful when speaking about it.

“You have to be truthful in those moments, you really do,” Rhodes said. “I think everybody that night was attempting to be truthful in their own way, but sometimes you have to call it what it is and not shy away from it. But I’m glad I was able to answer that.”

Helwani then asked Rhodes for his thoughts on the situation now a few months later as more information has emerged.

“Today, whenever there is an accusation or anything of that nature, it’s very important that you don’t shame the accuser,” Rhodes said. “People are quick to do that sometimes. I also am not a legal personnel, I’m not in law enforcement of any kind. I like to see it play out from a legal and court situation. Did someone break the law? is there guilt? Is there punishment?

“I don’t want to be naive to it, but I have to put my focus solely on how we make a show the best show possible. The excitement over Netflix, WrestleMania 40, The Rock returning. I don’t have a lot of time to focus on that, but I am looking at it like everyone else is a sense of hopefully there is a resolution that justice is brought for whomever.”

Rhodes added that from his perspective, it’s Nick Khan and Triple H running WWE despite Ronda Rousey’s recent claims that as long as Bruce Prichard is still around, McMahon still has his say.
