STARDOM Showcase Match Announced For ROH Supercard Of Honor

Ring of Honor has added a huge STARDOM showcase match to their latest Supercard Of Honor show.

The event looks to be one of the company’s most star-studded events in years. It features two huge world title matches, with Eddie Kingston defending his ROH title against Mark Briscoe in one.

The second sees Hikaru Shida challenging ROH Women’s Champion Athena for her Championship in a match that we could see main event the show.

However, another match was added to the card last night, bringing the total announced bouts to five. This match features six of the top wrestlers from STARDOM, an all-women promotion from Japan.

The match sees Mina Shirakawa, Maika, & Mei Seira face AZM, Tam Nakano, & Saya Kamitani. This will give many fans the chance to see these women work for the first time and will provide the promotion huge exposure in the United States.

ROH announced the match on their Twitter account.

ROH Supercard Of Honor Has Five Matches Announced So Far

The addition of the STARDOM trios match brings the card for ROH Supercard of Honor up to five matches.

Along with Kingston vs Briscoe and Athena vs Shida, two more matches join the trios’ bout on the pay-per-view.

Queen Animata takes on Billie Starkz. This match is the final of a tournament to decide the first-ever ROH Women’s TV Champion and will be a huge moment for whichever wrestler takes home the gold.

The next is another TV title match. Men’s ROH TV Champion Kyle Fletcher is defending his title against Lee Johnson. If that is anywhere near as good as Fletcher’s bout with Will Ospreay on AEW Dynamite, it is sure to impress.

The currently announced card looks like this:

  • ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston defends against Mark Briscoe
  • ROH Women’s Champion Athena defends against Hikaru Shida
  • ROH TV Champion Kyle Fletcher defends against Lee Johnson
  • ROH Women’s TV Championship tournament finals: Queen Aminata vs. Billie Starkz
  • Mina Shirakawa, Maika, & Mei Seira vs. AZM, Tam Nakano, & Saya Kamitani

Supercard of Honor will stream on ROH’s HonorClub streaming service on April 5 beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern time.
