A new report provides an update on Ridge Holland following his eye-opening announcement.
Ridge Holland came to the ring on the March 26 episode of WWE NXT and announced that he would be stepping away from in-ring competition indefinitely. The announcement prompted some speculation as to whether it was an angle or real life. Holland was then moved to the alumni section of WWE’s website, which only ramped up the buzz.
Corey Brennan of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that, per NXT sources, Holland’s announcement was part of his storyline, and he is not retiring. These sources noted that Holland has been motivated to do the storyline. Plus, he has been receptive to suggestions. Per Brennan, there has been no pushback from creative or talent.
