Wheeler Yuta Not Cleared To Compete, Matt Sydal To Replace Him At CMLL Event

Wheeler Yuta will not compete as scheduled when AEW’s Blackpool Combat Club competes at CMLL’s March 29 event.

In a tweet, CMLL announced that AEW informed the company that Wheeler Yuta was not cleared to compete as scheduled at their March 29 event. AEW’s Matt Sydal will take his place and team up with the rest of the Blackpool Combat Club to face Mistico, Volador Jr., Blue Panther, and Gran Guerrero.

Sydal will team up with Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, and Claudio Castagnoli for the match on Friday.

Yuta is the reigning ROH Pure Champion. He has not wrestled since the AEW Rampage taping on January 10. There, he lost to Eddie Kingston.

It is not currently known when Wheeler Yuta will return to the ring. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
