Drew McIntyre says he’s having fun, and he intends to continue having fun.
Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre’s contract is set to expire after WrestleMania 40. As previously reported, it was set to expire sooner. Time was added to it when he was sidelined for a few months in 2023.
Speaking on The Masked Man Show, Drew McIntyre was asked to describe how he feels when people talk about his contract status online.
“First of all, it’s very important to me, having a contract [laughs]. But yeah, it’s kind of funny. It’s been talked about for a very long time on the internet,” Drew McIntyre said. I’m not the only one whose contract comes up every few years or whatever, but you would think it, reading the internet.
“But no, there’s nothing I can say right now. I can say I’m having fun. I can say I intend to continue having fun, and I’m in my prime, I’m younger than everyone thinks I am because I’ve been around for such a long time. So I have years to go, and no matter what, you’ll still see Drew McIntyre wrestling.”
McIntyre has been a key player on the road to WrestleMania. He won the Men’s Elimination Chamber, and he will challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
