Julius Creed Reacts To Losing The Chance To Compete At WrestleMania 40

Last night on Monday Night Raw, Julius Creed, and Brutus Creed, the Creed Brothers wrestled DIY for a chance to compete at WrestleMania 40. The winning team would qualify for the Six-pack Ladder match for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championships. After an intense battle, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa won the match and qualified for WrestleMania.

Later in the night, Jackie Redmond caught up with the Creed Brothers for a digital exclusive interview. Julius Creed mentioned that the PNC Arena (where Raw took place last night) is a familiar battlefield for him. He had won multiple matches in the same arena but sadly he was unable to win when it mattered the most.

“Yeah. I mean, we respect you Jackie. But the goal isn’t to come up here and continue to make statements right? The goal was to come up here and headline WrestleManias. That’s always been the goal. That’s been the goal since we were eight years old. I went to Duke University, right down the road from here. I’ve wrestled in PNC Arena. I’ve won matches in this arena. So, as cool as it was to hear all those people cheering, it would have been ten times cooler to be at WrestleMania this year. Which was our goal.”

Julius Creed’s and his brother’s goal was always to compete at WrestleMania

Creed also mentioned that for the past couple of years he and his brother have been attending WrestleManias as fans and would promise each other that they will compete the following year.

“We sat two years ago at the Cowboys Stadium, we said, ‘Hey, we are going to be there next year.’ And then last year, we sat at So-Fi and we said next year we are going to be there again. And guess where we are not. We are not at WrestleMania this year. So the job didn’t get done. You know, I don’t know where to go from here. I guess it feels like, kinda like it always has.

“This happened in high school. We weren’t the most successful when we first got to high school. But we continued to lace the shoes up, show up day after day, continued to get better. College was the exact same thing. I wasn’t winning out of the gate. He wasn’t winning out of the gate. But like the morals and the values our parents instilled in us, it’s lace the boots up day after day. Our dad was a delivery man so he tied up those delivery shoes. It didn’t matter if it was sunshine, if it was rain, if it was sleet, if it was snow, if it was hell or high water. He was going to deliver. It is time to start delivering. It’s time to start getting the job done. That’s the message then. You will see us at WrestleMania next year,” Julius Creed said.

Later in the night, Awesome-Truth, and The New Day also qualified for the Six-pack Ladder match.

Who do you think will walk out of WrestleMania 40 as the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions?
