WWE SummerSlam is coming to Cleveland.
The SummerSlam announcement was rumored for several months. WrestleVotes and Fightful (via Fightful Select) reporting Cleveland was in line to host the event.
Logan Paul confirmed the details of the 2024 edition of SummerSlam on the latest episode of his ImPAULsive podcast on Tuesday.
WWE SummerSlam will take place on August 3 at Cleveland Browns Stadium. In addition, Paul confirmed SmackDown would take place at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on August 2.
This is the first time SummerSlam will take place in Cleveland since 1996, when Shawn Michaels defended the WWF Championship against Vader in the main event.
Just keep pressing forward
Chad Gable recently spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard, who asked how he can ensure he has a spot at WrestleMania. He said it all comes down to consistency.
“Consistency. You touched on that. I think is important. I’ve almost made it a point and a mission for me. Not only for myself, but the group to do that,” Gable explained. “Stay on TV, stay entertaining, and provide whatever they are asking for us. But, not just do it, but over-deliver every time. When you do that, you can’t get ignored. It’s hard to be ignored. And I think we do that. I don’t think, I know we do.”
Gable said if you’re a talent that doesn’t have an immediate role in a show, you can’t let it get the best of you and you have to keep moving forward.
“You have to just keep pressing forward. Stay consistent and deliver. And magic happens man,” Gable pointed out. “We’ve proved it.”
