The Rock is seemingly set to return to the ring at WWE WrestleMania 40. However, according to a new report, the belief is that this won’t be his only match in 2024.
The Rock has aligned with Roman Reigns in recent weeks. On the March 1 episode of SmackDown, he challenged Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins to face the duo at WrestleMania. Rhodes and Rollins are set to respond to the challenge on the March 8 episode of WWE SmackDown.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that the belief is that WrestleMania will not be The Rock’s only match this year, as WWE wants him to work at least one of the Saudi Arabia events.
In the report, Meltzer writes that WWE is scheduled to return to Saudi Arabia on May 25. He reports that sources noted that various factors and variables were in play, but the company would like The Rock to work the show or another Saudi Arabia event this year. (H/t Joseph Currier of F4WOnline.com)
