If people talk about the pillars of women’s wrestling, one of them has to be Trish Stratus. She is a WWE Hall of Famer and is also a multi-time Women’s Champion. It seemed as if Stratus hung up her wrestling boots a while ago, but she returned to be a wrestler for over six months in 2023.
Recently, during an interview with Jamal Niaz for the Monopoly Events YouTube Channel, the WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus shared how great and special it is to be able to have been a wrestler that adults and their children enjoy watching.
“I feel very blessed to be in that position”
“That’s what I wanted to say. As you were saying that, I thought… This has been just the most amazing thing to come back, after the run and then I get to meet… You know… The dad or mom would come with their little one right? And they say like… This is an adult saying. ‘I grew up watching you.’ Which means I’ve been in it a long time. It reminds me of how old I am. You know… ‘And now my little one can watch you.’
“It’s just so special that we are able to spend generations like that. And a lot of times what I used to get is like, ‘I got my daughter, I got my son into wrestling. But I got them watching the OG stuff. Like I watched, got them to watch original stuff with you and Lita.’ And that’s really cool to see. But so, now, that they grew up watching me. They got to see me, they’re showing myself but now the kids got to actually watch it too and experience it together. I feel very blessed to be in that position,” Trish Stratus said.
