Scammer Uses Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights Podcast to Hijack Gabbi Tuft’s Facebook Accounts

Scammers took over retired professional wrestler Gabbi Tuft’s Facebook account, a move that she says won’t be allowed to bring her down.

According to Tuft (via Globe Newswire), scammers posing as members of the production team for the incredibly popular New Heights Podcast reached out to Tuft. The scammers promised Tuft a spot on a livestream series that was said to be a branch off of the podcast itself, and would be conducted via Facebook.

In an interview beforehand, Tuft was instructed to change a variety of Facebook settings, which then allowed scammers to gain access to her account. Shortly after the meeting, Tuft was locked out of the account, and scammers began posting random videos and other content on her page. As a result, Tuft has had to pause any advertising on her Facebook account.

In a statement on the matter, Tuft said she was “deeply disappointed” that people took advantage of her, but is planning on “moving forward” from the issue.

“I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by this deceitful act whereby individuals are capitalizing off the name recognition of one of the most high profile celebrities and podcasts right now,” said Tuft in a statement on the matter. “It’s unfortunate that individuals would exploit the trust and goodwill of others for personal gain. However, I refuse to let this setback hinder my progress. I am moving forward with resilience and determination focused on creating that ripple effect which is part of my core beliefs.”

Tuft previously wrestled as Tyler Reks in WWE, but came out as a trans woman in 2020, and has since gone on to become an influencer and activist for those in the trans community.
