All Elite Wrestling delivered a star-studded show with the March 6 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Among other bouts, Will Ospreay faced Kyle Fletcher, and HOOK defended the FTW Championship against Brian Cage. Plus, the Young Bucks made a huge announcement.

In-Ring Segment: Swerve Strickland
Tony Schiavone interviews Swerve Strickland, who addresses his loss at AEW Revolution. He looks back on the day he joined AEW, when he vowed to win the world title. Strickland says maybe his lack of a title is karma for the bad things he has done. He says maybe he’s not supposed to be a champion here, as maybe he’ll have to settle for this. Swerve says it felt like people were truly rooting for him at AEW Revolution. Strickland makes it clear that nothing has changed, as he says he’s coming for Samoa Joe and the world title. He promises to win the gold.
AEW World Champion Samoa Joe comes out and says Swerve is making promises he will never keep.
Joe says Swerve’s house exists in his world. Swerve responds and challenges Joe to a rematch tonight. Adam Cole and the rest of the Undisputed Kingdom interrupt. Cole highlights the success of the group. He says the only reason Joe is the world champion is because they let it happen. Cole says everyone will forget about Swerve, he will only swerve from the world title, as there was no way he would win it, but Wardlow would capture the gold.
Strickland highlights Cole’s past failures and takes a shot at Cole by bringing up Britt Baker. Cole challenges Strickland and Joe to face Mike Bennett and Matt Taven. Strickland dares them to face the duo now, and Cole refuses, but Tony Schiavone says the match is happening.
Samoa Joe And Swerve Strickland Team Up
Samoa Joe & Swerve Strickland vs. Mike Bennett & Matt Taven
Joe controls the action and overpowers Taven and Bennett. Taven and Bennett gain the upper hand. They maintain the advantage. Joe fires up, and Swerve tags in. He rallies and clears house with a flurry of offense. Swerve hits the Swerve Stomp on Bennett and stares down Joe. He slams Taven with the Big Pressure for the win.
Winners: Swerve Strickland & Samoa Joe
Swerve stares Joe down. Wardlow comes out on the ramp, and Joe chokes Strickland out. Joe stares Wardlow down, and the broadcast team announces that they will clash in a title match next week.
Backstage, Chris Jericho approaches HOOK and looks back on his history with HOOK’s father, Taz. He says HOOK earned his respect at AEW Revolution, and he might be the real deal.
A video package highlights Hangman Adam Page’s actions at AEW Revolution, where he attacked referees.
The Young Bucks are backstage, and they say they will make two huge announcements later.
FTW Championship: HOOK (c) vs. Brian Cage
HOOK takes the fight to Cage, who drills him with a kick. HOOK goes to suplex Cage, but Cage counters. Cage suplexes HOOK and takes control with another suplex. HOOK sprays Cage with a fire extinguisher and blasts him with a garbage can lid. Cage sends HOOK crashing into the steel steps. HOOK dodges Cage, who goes knee-first into the steps. Cage slams HOOK on the steps. HOOK evades Cage again, sending him crashing through a barricade. Cage gains the upper hand and slams HOOK into the barricade. Back in the ring, Cage hits HOOK with a chair.
HOOK counters Cage and drops him with a DDT onto a chair. He levels Cage with a clothesline and suplexes him. HOOK hits Cage with a garbage can and suplexes him onto a guardrail. Cage slams HOOK and hits the F-10 onto a chair. Cage brings a bag of thumbtacks into the ring and dumps. HOOK goes for the Redrum, but Cage avoids it by slamming HOOK into a chair.
HOOK hits Cage with a kendo stick and slams him onto some tacks. Cage tries to slam his way out of the Redrum, and HOOK holds on. Cage is out, and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner and still FTW Champion: HOOK
Kaun and Toa Liona attack HOOK after the bell. Chris Jericho makes the save.
A video package highlights the upcoming tournament for the vacant AEW World Tag Team Championship.
Backstage, Orange Cassidy is standing by with Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta. He says he will do whatever he can to win some more gold. Taylor says he’s not cleared, but Trent and Orange should enter the tournament. He reveals that they will compete on AEW Rampage.
Killswitch (with The Patriarchy) vs. “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard
Matt Menard charges Killswitch and unloads on him. Menard keeps fighting, but Killswitch overpowers him and chokeslams him. Killswitch clubs Menard with a lariat and hits him with another one for the win.
Winner: Killswitch
Killswitch attacks Menard after the match, and Daniel Garcia makes the save. Killswitch and Nick Wayne gang up on him and leave him lying. They head up the ramp, and Adam Copeland makes his return as he attacks them. Copeland chases Cage into the crowd. He follows him backstage, and Cage runs outside, where he gets into a car and drives away. Copeland challenges Cage to an “I Quit” Match at Dynamite in Toronto.
In an interview, Kyle O’Reilly comments on his return and says he’s grateful that he has received a second chance. He says he has nothing but love for the Undisputed Kingdom, but he has to do his own thing.

The Young Bucks Make A Huge Announcement
The Young Bucks come to the ring to make their huge announcement. Nicholas says Sting and Darby Allin cheated at AEW Revolution. He says they ended Sting’s career. Nicholas says they are entering the tag team tournament. Matthew brings up their announcements. He says they have to make the tough decisions, and their hands were forced. Matthew says Hangman Adam Page put his hands on officials, so he was suspended indefinitely from The Elite without. He turns his attention to Kenny Omega and says Omega has been fired from The Elite.
Eddie Kingston comes out and confronts The Young Bucks. He says the Bucks might as well fine him now, as he has some trash to talk. Nicholas puts his hands on Kingston, who fights back. They hit Kingston below the belt, and Kazuchika Okada comes out. He turns on Kingston and drops him with a Rainmaker. Okada stands tall with the Young Bucks as they announce he is the newest member of The Elite.
Kris Statlander vs. Riho
Statlander and Riho feel each other out. They go back and forth, and they’re evenly matched. Statlander gains the upper hand. She grounds Riho, but the former AEW Women’s World Champion rallies. Statlander dodges a stomp attempt and levels Riho with a lariat.
Riho sends Statlander into the ropes and kicks her. Statlander rolls through a crossbody, but Riho hits a dragon suplex. Statlander takes a chain from Stokely Hathaway and tosses it. She slams Riho, but Riho rolls her up and scores the three count.
Winner: Riho
In an interview, AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm comments on her win at AEW Revolution and says she will present the first-ever Toni Award.
In an interview, Stokely Hathaway expresses his disappointment following Statlander’s loss. Renee Paquette announces that Willow Nightingale will face Riho next week. She also says she has her sights set on TBS Champion Julia Hart.
Darby Allin comes to the ring and comments on Sting’s retirement. He reflects on his journey up to this point. Allin says he wanted Sting to end his career the way he deserved, and he thought he did that. He notes that he wil be leaving for Mount Everest on March 27, and there is no guarantee that he will come back alive. Allin tearfully thanks AEW and the fans and says that if his last match is next week, he will go out fighting. As for the tag titles, he says he could not replace Sting, so he wishes the next champions luck as he puts his title down.
Jay White and The Gunns interrupt. White congratulates Allin for his win at AEW Revolution. He says he doesn’t really care, and Sting is gone, so Allin is aline. White wonders what Allin is without Sting and calls him a lost puppy. White says nobody would think less of Allin if he backed out of the match. He says Allin could hang with the Bang Bang Scissor Gang, and he could be Darby Scissorhands. Allin gets fired up and says he doesn’t believe the hype about White. He tells him to come alone next week.
The House of Blacks send a message to Mark Briscoe and threaten to set him ablaze. Brody King says history will repeat itself on AEW Collision. King asks whethet they will need to dig one grave or three. Mark Briscoe is shown backstage, and he says he fears no man. He challenges House of Black to an Atlanta Street Fight on AEW Collision. Jay Lethal shows up and says he’ll have his back.
Will Ospreay Faces Kyle Fletcher On AEW Dynamite
Will Ospreay vs. Kyle Fletcher
Ospreay and Fletcher feel each other out. They’re evenly matched, and the bout is a stalemate early on. Ospreay dives onto Fletcher at ringside. Back in the ring, Fletcher counters the Os-cutter and hits a Brainbuster for a two-count. They trade stiff chops. Ospreay counters Fletcher and spikes him with a DDT. He goes for the Hidden Blade, but Fletcher counters and sends him into the turnbuckles. Ospreay hits the Os-cutter on the apron. Ospreay continues to control the action and slams Fletcher. They keep battling. Ospreay and Fletcher trade blows and counters.
Ospreay spikes Fletcher with a Poison-rana. He counters Fletcher off the top rope and lands on his feet. Ospreay drills Fletcher with some kicks. Fletcher slams Ospreay for a two-count. He gets a two-count with a powerbomb. Ospreay hits a modified hurrianrana off the ropes and levels Fletcher with a back elbow. Fletcher and Ospreay trade counters. Ospreay hits an Os-cutter for a two count. He pins Fletcher with the Hidden Blade.

Bryan Danielson briefly comes out and confronts Ospreay after the match.
