Rhea Ripley doesn’t like goals.
During a recent interview with BWGS Pod, WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley was asked what’s next for her. In response, Ripley explained why she doesn’t like setting goals.
“I have no idea,” Ripley said. “I’m trying to take over the WWE. I don’t like setting goals. Everybody always asks me, ‘What’s your goals?’ I hate setting goals because I feel like, when you set a goal you work so extremely hard to accomplish that and once you get there, you’re like, ‘Cool, I did it,’ and then you don’t know where to go. You’re lost and like, ‘I just worked so hard on this and now it’s over.’
“So for me, I keep it open. I just want to see how far I can get in this business, how much history I can make, and what kind of legacy I can leave behind while doing all of this. So obviously there’s the typical answers where you want to main event WrestleMania. Well, Elimination Chamber [was] my WrestleMania… But yeah, I just don’t like setting goals. I don’t want to have an end game.”
Ripley recently main-evented WWE Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia, where she successfully defended the Women’s World title against Nia Jax. As of this writing, Ripley is set to defend against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40.
