Braun Strowman highlights his memorable win with Nicholas at WWE WrestleMania 34.
At WrestleMania 34, Braun Strowman teamed up with Nicholas, the 10-year-old son of referee John Cone. The duo defeated Cesaro and Sheamus to win the RAW Tag Team Championship.
In a post on Twitter, WWE shared a picture of Strowman and Nicholas and noted that a ten-year-old won gold at WrestleMania. Strowman responded to the post and called the moment the best thing to ever happen to tag team wrestling.
Braun Strowman has been sidelined for several months, as he had neck fusion surgery in June 2023. He recently teased that he’s “closer and closer” to returning to WWE.
Braun Strowman On Teaming With Nicholas
Braun Strowman previously looked back on his match with Nicholas. Speaking with Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge, he emphasized that it was a special moment.
“Nicholas is like six-five now,” Braun Strowman said. “The cool thing is, I just saw one of the sites that does all our action figures and stuff, Ringside Collectibles or something like that, there’s a Nicholas action figure coming out. So I’m really excited for that and stuff like that.
“It’s neat to see. Imagine being that kid and going back to school that Monday after that happened. What an unbelievable experience. It was really fun doing that. Some people didn’t like it because the violence wasn’t there. But if you understand the whole message and the premise of what we do is WWE, that is WWE. It was a special moment.”
As of this writing, there is no word on when Braun Strowman will return to the ring. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
