WATCH: Sting Addresses The Crowd After AEW Revolution

Sting says farewell.

Last night was the AEW Revolution pay-per-view. The main event of the night was the AEW World Tag Team Championship between the champions, Sting and Darby Allin and The Young Bucks. It was also the final match of The Icon’s professional wrestling career. Following the match, the WWE Hall of Famer bid farewell.

The Icon and Darby Allin managed to retain their tag team titles. Thus, Sting retired from professional wrestling with an undefeated record in All Elite Wrestling. The WWE Hall of Famer thanked the fans and Tony Khan for his career and making his final night in AEW very special.

“Man, I just… I don’t have any words other than to say thank you. I love you all so much. Big Time! Yeah, you know what? I’d like to call another very important person out, all right? You ready for this? It wouldn’t be possible without Tony Khan,” Sting said.

Tony Khan also came out and gave Sting his props.

Sting’s tag team partner Darby Allin also shared a few words praising The Icon.

“I really don’t know what else there is to say. I really don’t. The fact that Tony Khan felt Sting deserved this and you guys gave it to him. And he performed. He said he was going to leave absolutely nothing in this ring by the end of the night. And I hope you felt that you got your money’s worth. And I guess I’ll have Sting have the final word. I’m going to go the hospital real quick so…,” Darby Allin said.

The night came to an end with the entire AEW locker room bidding farewell to The Icon.

Tony Khan also announced that the AEW Tag Titles are now vacated.
