AEW Revolution: Christian Cage vs. Daniel Garcia Result

Christian Cage defended the TNT Championship against Daniel Garcia in a hard-fought match at AEW Revolution.

Garcia challenged Cage for the gold in the opening match of the pay-per-view after he previously clashed with Cage’s rival, Adam Copeland. Cage was accompanied to the ring by the other members of The Patriarchy, and they interfered throughout the bout. Garcia nearly scored the win at multiple points, but Nick Wayne’s interference helped Cage clinch the win with a Killswitch.

Here’s how the match broke down, courtesy of our play-by-play coverage:

Killswitch goes to interfere again, but “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard runs in and attacks him. Menard stares down Mother Wayne. He takes the fight to Killswitch, and they head up the ramp. Cage’s leg gives out during a Spear attempt, and Garcia hits a piledriver for a near fall. Garcia gets a two-count with a pin attempt. Nick Wayne hits Garcia with a cheap shot. Cage hits the Killswitch for the win.
