A new match has been confirmed for WWE NXT Roadblock on March 5.
Following Shawn Spears‘ shocking return on the February 27 episode of WWE NXT, he will be in action at NXT Roadblock. WWE confirmed the news in a tweet on March 3. Spears initially said he would appear at the show, and now his in-ring return has been confirmed.
Spears previously spent several years with WWE, and he had a prominent run in NXT. He requested his release in 2019 and subsequently signed with AEW. Spears left the company and entered free agency in January.
The announced card is as follows:
- NXT Tag Team Championship: Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin (c) vs. Andre Chase & Duke Hudson
- WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) (c) vs. Lyra Valkyria & Tatum Paxley
- Winner Earns NXT Title Match: Tony D’Angelo vs. Carmelo Hayes
- Asylum Match: Dijak vs. Joe Gacy
- Shawn Spears vs. TBA
