Former NWA star Kamille says she has had conversations with Shawn Michaels.
Kamille had been one of NWA’s top stars for several years, but the former NWA World Women’s Champion entered free agency in January.
In an interview with Steve Fall for WrestlingNewsCo, Kamille was asked to share her thoughts on Tony Khan’s comments about her during the AEW Revolution media call, when he noted that he had been watching her work, and “never say never” about her coming to AEW. She then noted that she had spoken with Shawn Michaels.
“I think never say never is great in professional wrestling,” Kamille said. “I mean, look at CM Punk. Goes back to WWE. Literally never say never. Once again, I just appreciate it so much that he has even taken the time out to look at my work, to enjoy my matches, watch my promos. I had conversations with Shawn Michaels.
“I had no clue that Shawn Michaels had any idea who in the world Kamille was and found out he was a big fan. Stuff like that blew my mind. It was super humbling and amazing, and yeah, to hear Tony have such nice feedback was just really refreshing. There’s times in wrestling where you feel like you can’t do anything right. Really, since January 1, I know it’ll be a roller coaster, but everything has been super positive.”
