The current WWE United States Champion Logan Paul has been playing the ‘heel’ for the past couple of months. Recently, he had cost Randy Orton a chance to challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The Maverick hit Orton with the brass knuckles during the Elimination Chamber match allowing Drew McIntyre to pin The Viper and punch his ticket to WrestleMania 40.
Earlier this week, WWE released a video on Twitter showing how the WWE United States Champion seemingly tricked the referees during the Elimination Chamber match to not leave the chamber and then went on to punch Randy Orton.
In the clip, Logan Paul claimed that he could not walk and thus he stayed inside the chamber despite being eliminated by The Legend Killer. But once he saw that Orton was nearing a win, he quickly got up and punched him. As he exited the Chamber, Paul kept telling the referee that he tricked him.
After seeing the video, a fan replied to the tweet by pointing out Logan Paul’s current gimmick and why it is working very well.
“His gimmick is “an a**hole looking for his next viral moment” and it works for him,” a fan tweeted.
Logan Paul saw the fan’s tweet and replied by claiming that he was not playing a gimmick.
“It ain’t a gimmick,” Logan Paul tweeted.
Given the fact that Paul cost Orton the Elimination Chamber match, fans are speculating that The Maverick’s WrestleMania match could be against the Apex Predator.
Paul also has been teasing the match on his social media. After knocking out The Viper with the brass knuckles, Paul tweeted, “RKO = Randy Knocked Out.”
LA Knight is also open to challenging Paul at WrestleMania.
