Chris Jericho will be in action on the February 28 episode of AEW Dynamite.
In a tweet, Tony Khan announced that Chris Jericho will face CMLL star Atlantis Jr., who will have his father, Atlantis in his corner. Khan noted that Jericho would be competing under his “Lionheart” persona. This will mark Jericho’s return to AEW after a brief absence due to his tour with Fozzy.
AEW has built up their relationship with CMLL in recent weeks by showing the latter company’s talent. Atlantis Jr. is the reigning NWA World Historic Light Heavyweight Champion and one-third of the CMLL World Trios Champions.
Atlantis is one of CMLL’s most decorated stars, and he has competed around the world. He has held various titles in the promotion. He is a five-time CMLL World Tag Team Champion, a four-time CMLL World Trios Champion, and a two-time World Light Heavyweight Champion.
The updated card for the February 28 episode of AEW Dynamite is as follows:
