Nick Khan: WWE’s Netflix Deal Will Help Us Become A Global Localized Product

Nick Khan highlights WWE’s goal to grow internationally and the way the Netflix deal helps with that.

As previously announced, WWE RAW will move to Netflix in 2025. The deal was valued at $5 billion over 10 years. Netflix will receive a variety of additional WWE programming as well.

During the latest TKO earnings call, WWE’s deal with Netflix came up. It was asked whether the deal would impact brands like NXT UK and NXT Europe. In response, WWE President Nick Khan emphasized that Netflix helps the company become a global localized product. He noted that WWE will likely expand their tryouts in international markets in the future. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription)

“For us, a global localized product has always been a priority,” Khan said. “We think Netflix helps us with that. If you look at the premium live event schedule for this calendar year; Perth, Australia this past weekend. Berlin, France, Riyadh, Canada, all over the world.

“Look for, down the road, more local stars from those markets as we expand our tryouts to international markets so we feel confident over time that will be covered and be part of the Netflix deal.”

Additionally, TKO President and COO Mark Shapiro said that WWE’s deal with Netflix would not preclude them from creating new content, events, and programming on a global basis.
