Ole Anderson Passes Away At Age 81

Ole Anderson has passed away.

In a post on Instagram, NWA’s Ricky Morton announced that Ole Anderson passed away. He wrote that Anderson has taught him a lot in wrestling, and he will be missed.

Ole Anderson was a legend in the wrestling world. As an in-ring competitor, he started wrestling in 1967 and retired in 1990. Anderson won various titles in the NWA and for Georgia Championship Wrestling, among other promotions. He was a member of the original Four Horsemen alongside Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson, and JJ Dillon. Anderson was inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame in 2020.

Anderson also worked as the booker for Georgia Championship Wrestling and Jim Crockett Promotions. He had a memorable run as part of WCW’s booking committee as well.

Ric Flair, among others, also commented on the news in a post on Twitter.
