NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Giulia is reportedly leaving STARDOM at the end of March.
Tokyo Sports reports that Giulia will be leaving STARDOM at the end of March upon the end of her contract. The report notes that she informed Bushiroad, STARDOM’s parent company, at the end of 2023. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the translation).
WWE has been interested in Giulia for several months, and in December, Dave Meltzer reported that she was leaning toward signing with the company. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) confirmed that WWE had maintained interest in her.
Earlier in February, Meltzer reported that Giulia was delaying her move to WWE to help STARDOM founder Rossy Ogawa launch his new promotion.
