Cody Rhodes wants to go one-on-one with “The Great One”.
At WWE Elimination Chamber, Grayson Waller hosted The Grayson Waller Effect with Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins as his special guests. Rhodes commented on his heated feud with Roman Reigns and the latter’s newfound ally, The Rock. He noted that The Rock may refer to himself “The People’s Champion”, but you have to be around the people to call yourself that.
Rhodes brought up the fact that The Rock hit him at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press conference. He stated that while he was set to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, he was wide-open until then. Rhodes then challenged The Rock to face him one-on-one, any time and any place. Rollins reiterated his past comment that Rhodes would not have to fight that battle alone.
Cody’s challenge was not the only buzzworthy news that came out of The Grayson Waller Effect. Earlier in the talk show, Seth Rollins announced that he was only a few days away from getting medically cleared, so he was on track to compete at WWE WrestleMania 40. He then got physical as he took the fight to Theory and floored him with a Stomp.
The Rock is set to appear on the March 1 episode of WWE SmackDown.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
