TNA originally had plans for another host city for its next major pay-per-view event.
TNA Rebellion is set to take place on April 20 at the Palms in Las Vegas, the same venue that hosted TNA Hard To Kill. The Rebellion pay-per-view will be followed by a television taping session on April 21.
However, a new report claims that TNA didn’t always plan to have back-to-back pay-per-views in Las Vegas. According to PWInsider.com, TNA explored the possibility of hosting Rebellion at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.
It’s unclear why the decision was made to return to Las Vegas again, but it was noted that the Hammerstein is “still in play” for later this year.
