Matt Camp Released By WWE

Matt Camp, another long-time WWE personality, was released by the company last week.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Matt Camp, former host of WWE’s The Bump, was released by the company last week.

Camp was hired by WWE in September of 2019 and has been featured on The Bump every week before quietly being released prior to last week’s episode. There was no mention of his release or absence during the show.

Beyond WWE’s The Bump, Camp was also regularly featured on RAW Talk and SmackDown Lowdown. Camp also hosted in-studio kickoff shows that weren’t run live in the venue of the event.

Prior to signing with WWE, Camp was heavily involved in the world of professional wrestling. He performed announcer duties at Tommy Dreamer’s former independent wrestling promotion House of Hardcore. Camp also worked for Busted Open Radio.

Although Matt Camp hasn’t publicly commented on his WWE release, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed Johnson’s report on social media.
