Shotzi has reportedly suffered an injury.
Shotzi appeared on the February 13 episode of WWE NXT and set up a match with NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria for the following week. NXT held a double taping on Tuesday, so the February 20 episode of NXT was taped as well.
Corey Brennan of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Shotzi suffered an apparent injury during her match against Valkyria. The injury seemingly occurred when she hit her knee as she fell out of the ring. Shotzi was unable to continue, and the match was stopped. She was then helped to the back. break
Per Brennan, NXT sources noted that Shotzi was not able to place weight on her injured knee, and it was clear that she was in a lot of pain. Officials were said to be quite concerned, and she was taken to get evaluated by medical personnel.
Brennan also confirmed that the injury was not a work. One source said it was serious, but there was no heat on Valkyria for what was called a freak accident.
