The IWGP Tag Team Championship changed hands at NJPW New Beginning in Osaka.
At the February 11 event, Hikuleo and El Phantasmo defended the gold against Chase Owens and KENTA of Bullet Club. In the end, Taiji Iishimori hit Phantasmo with one of the championships. Another belt shot and a low blow to Hikuleo helped the Bullet Club duo clinch the win.
This marks KENTA’s first reign with the tag team titles. Owens previously held the championships with Bad Luck Fale in 2022.
Phantasmo and Hikuleo previously won the gold by beating Bishamon at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 on January 4.
