LA Knight: I Want To Be ‘The Guy’ In WWE, I Have To Be ‘The Champion’ To Do That

In a short period since making his way up to the main roster, LA Knight has become a fan favorite. He initially made his way to the main roster as the manager of Maximum Male Modes, Max Dupri. Once he changed his character and returned as LA Knight, he had the fans behind him. Whether he was a heel or a babyface, the WWE Universe always supported him. Recently, the self-proclaimed Megastar shared what he wants his future in the WWE to look like.

While speaking on the In The Kliq podcast, the Megastar mentioned that he aspires to be the Top Guy in the company. For LA Knight to do that, he needs to dethrone Roman Reigns.

“I… Look… For me again, I never got into this to be a background player. I want to be ‘The Guy’. In order to do that, I need to be ‘The Champion.’ I need to be the WWE Champion. ‘The Guy’. And right now I feel like Roman Reigns is holding that role. Some could say, Seth Rollins. But I look at that streak that Roman Reigns is on, and he’s holding. And I want that.

“Now, am I opposed to on the way there doing it the old way of… Man… Get that US Championship or get that Intercontinental Championship as a proven ground, as a stepping stone to get in there. Look man, I told everybody from Day 1, ‘I’m coming in for gold, nobody’s gonna stop me from that. So if that means US Title on the way, Intercontinental Championship on the way or whatever. Hey man, I’m game for it. But at the end of the day I am looking for that top spot,” LA Knight said.
