WWE SmackDown Viewership Increases On 2/9, Demo Also Rises

WWE SmackDown‘s viewership increased on February 9.

Per Sports Media Watch, 2.578 million viewers tuned in on Friday. This number is up from last week, when 2.469 million viewers watched the show.

In the 18 to 49 demographic, SmackDown scored a 0.75 rating, which also marks an increase from last week (0.74 rating in the same demographic).

Per Wrestlenomics, the total viewership and demographic rating were SmackDown’s highest since August 25, 2023.

What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?

This week’s show kicked off Triple H, Nick Aldis, and Adam Pearce. Triple H made it clear, despite complaints from The Rock, that Roman Reigns will be defending his Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.

Bianca Belair defeated Mia Yim (Michin) to qualify for the women’s Elimination Chamber match in Australia.

Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne were also in action and picked up a win over DIY. They will now challenge The Judgment Day at Elimination Chamber.

The main event of the show saw Randy Orton defeat Sami Zayn to qualify for the men’s Elimination Chamber match later this month.
