AEW Rampage Results (2/9/24): Orange Cassidy And More

All Elite Wrestling delivered an action-packed show with the February 9 episode of AEW Rampage.

Tonight, a match will take place that was set up last week on the February 2 episode of AEW Rampage, as Undisputed Kingdom confronted Orange Cassidy and Best Friends. The AEW International Champion issued the challenge for a bout, and Adam Cole named Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett as the stable’s representatives. Cassidy will team up with Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero.

Elsewhere, Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander will team up to face Saraya and Ruby Soho.

The results are as follows:

Match 1: Undisputed Kingdom defeats Best Friends via pinfall

In the opening match of the night, Undisputed Kingdom walked out with a big win, but not before chaos ensued. Before the match even started, a brawl broke out during Kingdom’s entrance. After things finally got under control, a more traditional took place, but Kingdom was able to take momentum late and woke out with a win.

The match came to an end after the Kingdom hit a big tandem move on Trent, but Rocky Romero quickly dove through the ropes and laid everyone out to save the day, even hitting a big move on Matt Taven. However, Roderick Strong would hit Romero with a huge running knee, which allowed him to set up his finisher for the pin and win.

After the match, Undisputed Kingdom began setting up chairs in the ring, and Strong continued his attack on Romero, before Orange Cassidy (who was chased off early during the brawl) came down for the save.

Match 2: Young Bucks defeat Robbie Lit & Mondo Rox via pinfall

The Young Bucks debuted new entrance music tonight, and also walked away with a pretty easy win. After the match, the duo grabbed mics and began barking back at the crowd, telling them to respect the pair.

Their new goal, they said, is to win back the AEW World Tag Team Championships, but they won’t be abusing their powers as EVPs to do so. Instead, they’ll just work their way to the top of the rankings like normal.

Match 3: Mistico defeats Matt Sydal via pinfall

In a relatively quick match, Mistico displayed his usual brand of athleticism by coming out on top with a win. Mistico started things off by throwing himself through the ropes and onto Sydal, but Matt was able to slowly work his way back into the match.

However, things came to an end after Mistico hit a big Spanish Fly on the top rope after getting Sydal with a powerslam as well. After the win, Esfinge and Star Jr. began taunting Daddy Magic from the commentary table.

Backstage segment: Brian Cage

Cage and Prince Nana talked trash about Hook, with Cage saying he wasn’t impressed by the superstar and could do anything better than him.

Match 4: Willow Nightingale & Kris Statlander defeat Saraya & Ruby Soho via pinfall

Ruby was reading something prior to the start of the match, and when things began, she looked to distract the referee so that Harley Cameron and Saraya could attack Nightingale. It worked for a bit, but eventually Willow and Kris, specifically Statlander, would turn the tables, and things eventually broke down to a massive brawl between all four in the ring.

Late in the match, Saraya accidentally hit Ruby, and Statlander used the moment to hit a big roundhouse kick and Blue Thunder Bomb on Saraya. She would eventually dodge a running knee and try to tag in Soho, but Ruby simply left the apron, then took out Cameron and left, shocking everyone. With Saraya all alone in the ring, Nightingale and Statlander ended the match with a dual finisher.

After the match, Stokely Hathaway shook hands with Nightingale, who lifted him up in the air a surprise hug. Skye Blue then came down to ringside, but stayed just outside of the ring. As the women in the ring motioned for her to try and come in, the lights went out, and when they turned back on, Julia Hart was next to Blue holding up the TBS Championship. The lights went out again and when they came back, both were gone, leaving the women in the ring to celebrate as the night ended.
