CM Punk is hitting the road.
CM Punk posted the following on his Instagram account, teasing that he’s in Las Vegas.
Sin City, of course, is the site of Thursday’s big WrestleMania press conference featuring The Rock, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and others.
CM Punk is currently sidelined after having surgery to repair a torn triceps, so he’s not currently planned to have a match at WrestleMania 40. WWE also didn’t advertise Punk for the press conference, so we’ll have to wait and see if Punk shows up at all.
The greatest comeback
Despite being sidelined, CM Punk is preparing for one of the greatest comebacks ever.
On Monday’s episode of WWE RAW, a brief update was given on Punk. This included a video package that showcased him following his surgery. Punk knows this will be one of the toughest challenges he’s ever faced, but “[his] comeback will be the greatest of all time.”
Punk suffered the injury in the ring during the Men’s Royal Rumble. He vowed to overcome his injury, which he referred to as more adversity that he had been dealt. Punk also promised to keep going, and while WrestleMania 40 was not in the cards, there was always next year.
