Brock Lesnar Removed From WWE 2K24 ‘Forty Years Of WrestleMania’ Cover

It looks like Brock Lesnar won’t be in WWE 2K24.

WWE and 2K Games released the first gameplay trailer for WWE 2K24 on Tuesday, and the video featured a noticeable change.

Brock Lesnar was removed from the cover of the ‘Forty Years Of WrestleMania’ Edition of the game. Lesnar has been replaced by John Cena on the cover. The original artist’s rendering of Cena was made larger, and Triple H’s likeness was also moved as a result.

WWE and 2K Games have not publicly commented on the change. WrestleZone has reached out for comment and will update if a response is given.

Brock Lesnar’s status

Brock Lesnar’s WWE status is currently up in the air. He was alluded to in the new sexual assault lawsuit against Vince McMahon. Lesnar was not explicitly named in the complaint, but the Wall Street Journal reported that “people familiar with the matter” identified the wrestler as Lesnar.

Since then, Lesnar’s plans for a WWE return have been put on hold. Bron Breakker reportedly replaced Lesnar in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble, and plans for a GUNTHER vs. Lesnar match at WrestleMania have been scrapped. In addition, Lesnar was also reportedly set to work with Dominik Mysterio at Elimination Chamber in Perth this month.

Brock Lesnar last appeared on WWE television at WWE SummerSlam 2023, where he lost a match to Cody Rhodes.
