Cody Rhodes may not be finishing the story at WWE WrestleMania 40, but it looks like he might be going back to a previous chapter.
At the WWE live event on February 3, Cody Rhodes defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in a Street Fight. WWE later shared a clip that showed Nakamura attacking Rhodes backstage.
Rhodes and Nakamura previously feuded throughout December 2023 and into January. Rhodes defeated Nakamura in what appeared to be the blowoff match to their feud on the January 8 episode of WWE RAW. “The American Nightmare” went on to win the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble.
On the February 2 episode of WWE SmackDown, Rhodes revealed that he will not be facing Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. He brought out The Rock, who stared Reigns down as the show came to an end.
