There are many professional wrestlers who have tested out their luck in Hollywood. Some have also become immensely successful such as The Rock, John Cena, and Batista. Another wrestler has apparently joined the list. It is none other than former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Sonya Deville.
The former WWE Tough Enough Contestant has been absent from WWE television as she is sidelined due to an injury. She had a torn ACL and is currently in rehab. It looks like she wasn’t just in rehab but is also looking at another career choice as well. Sonya Deville is currently filming a movie in Clearwater, Florida. The film is titled ‘DNA Secrets.’ The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion is playing the role of a police officer.
During an interview with 10 Tampa Bay, Deville mentioned that she is enjoying her time filming the movie. She also mentioned that it is very similar to WWE. But there was one thing that she is extremely happy about and that is the liberty of retakes in filmmaking while she doesn;t have that choice on Live Television.
“Obviously the hustle and bustle to hurry up and wait. The cameras, the memorization of lines. Like the having to constantly to be ready and on is very similar [to Sonya Deville’s experience performing in the WWE]. I do, I have to say, I do like that in filmmaking you get more than one take. When you’re on Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown, it is Live, Live and that is it,” Sonya Deville said.
Deville also has a Donut business with Mandy Rose.
