Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams are going to the finals.
On the January 30 episode of WWE NXT, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams faced the LWO (Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde) in a semi-final match in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
Early on, Wilde wowed the crowd with some high-flying offense, and the LWO took control. The two teams kept battling back and forth. At a key point in the bout, Williams tagged in and cleared house with a flurry of offense. The LWO persevered, and Cruz caught Hayes with a missile dropkick. Wilde tagged in, but Hayes caught him with a codebreaker. Williams then hit a knee strike for the win.
Hayes and Williams previously defeated Malik Blade and Edris Enofe to advance to the semi-finals. Breakker and Corbin beat Gallus and later scored the win against Axiom and Nathan Frazer to advance to the finals.
Williams is now set to pull double duty at NXT Vengeance Day. He is scheduled to challenge NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov for the gold on Sunday.
