Pat McAfee is back, and will join Michael Cole as part of the new WWE RAW commentary team.
The news was officially announced during tonight’s episode of RAW, where McAfee was seated next to Cole. Cole then announced that moving forward, he and McAfee will be the full-time announcers for RAW.
Prior to that, Wade Barrett was on the call with Cole. The news comes just a few days after McAfee’s surprise appearance at WWE’s Royal Rumble, where he joined the commentary team and, briefly, entered the Men’s Rumble.
McAfee and Cole were also the same commentary team for WWE SmackDown from April 2021 through September 2022, and were a fan-favorite duo. McAfee stepped away from commentary duties in 2022 to join ESPN’s College Gameday’s team.
McAfee has publicly stated he hasn’t re-signed with ESPN to return for next year’s College Gameday, however, so it’s unclear what the future holds for the personality.
