Sami Zayn is back, as he made his return at WWE Royal Rumble.
The number 30 spot in the Royal Rumble delivered another surprise on Saturday, as it turned out to be Sami Zayn. He immediately took the fight to Drew McIntyre, who took him out with a vicious assault on the December 4 episode of WWE RAW. Zayn eliminated Damian Priest in the battle royal, but McIntyre ultimately sent him over the top rope to end his time in the match.
Zayn reportedly requested some time off in December. He returned to action for WWE’s series of live events in Canada at the end of the month. Zayn was then absent again until he appeared at Royal Rumble.
