Roman Reigns defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WWE Royal Rumble.
At WWE Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns faced a major test. He put the title on the line against Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles. The four stars battled it out in a thrilling match that seemingly could have gone any way. In the end, the arrival of Solo Sikoa tipped the scales in the champion’s favor. In the closing minutes, Orton dropped Reigns with an RKO, but Sikoa pulled the referee out of the ring.
Sikoa then attacked Orton and Knight. Styles fought Sikoa off, but in the end, Reigns clinched the win by pinning Styles.

As the referee counts, Solo Sikoa pulls the referee out of the ring. Orton goes after Sikoa. Sikoa Samoan Spikes Orton. Knight charges in. Sikoa Samoan Spikes Knight. The crowd boos as Sikoa drags Knight on top of Orton. Sikoa tries to smash Styles through the barricade, but Styles moves. Reigns gets to his feet. Reigns turns around, and Styles lands his forearm on Reigns. Styles tries to pin everyone at once, but all three men kick out.
Styles brings a chair into the ring and hits Reigns with it repeatedly. Knight gets to his feet. Styles beats him down with the chair. Styles goes after Orton. Orton pokes Styles in the eye. Reigns Spears Orton. Orton rolls out of the ring. Knight suplexes Reigns. Styles goes up top. Knight charges in, Reigns sends Knight into Styles, knocking him off the top. Knight falls out of the ring. Reigns Spears Styles for the win.
