Slim Jim is reportedly pausing their promotional activities with WWE amid new allegations against Vince McMahon.
Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE on January 25. The lawsuit alleged sexual assault and sexual trafficking, among other offenses.
On January 26, WrestleVotes reported that they heard rumblings that Slim Slim had notified WWE of their intent to pull their sponsorships from WWE Royal Rumble. The report noted that it has yet to be determined whether they will remain partners in the future.
John Pollock of POST Wrestling then shared the following statement from Slim Slim:
“Slim Jim values integrity and respect in all of our partnerships. Given the recent disturbing allegations against Vince McMahon, at this time we’ve decided to pause our promotional activities with WWE…
This decision reflects our commitment to our brand values and responsibility to our community. We will continue to monitor the situation and base our future engagements on our values and what’s best for our brand”.
Additionally, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that he has been told another potential major sponsor that was considering working with WWE is now no longer interested.
Slim Jim entered a multi-year deal with WWE in 2023, and they were reported to be the company’s biggest sponsor.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
