Jey Uso is looking forward to creating a new path for himself in WWE.
Since returning to WWE RAW last year, Jey Uso has been on a mission to carve out his own identity, separate from that of The Bloodline. Along this journey, Uso is also eager to build his singles resume and compete in some fresh matchups. During a recent interview with TNT Sports, Uso shared his excitement about the opportunities that this singles run can provide him with.
“I was saying like a couple of weeks [ago], with Seth Rollins, with my first match on Raw for the heavyweight title, I don’t think I ever would have got that opportunity if I didn’t make this switch,” Uso said. “Even me with Drew [McIntyre], Gunther, Sami Zayn. Like you said, there’s just different ways I can go that are entertaining and fun and fresh.”
As Uso alluded to, the switch to RAW has already allowed him to pursue some singles titles, including the World Heavyweight Championship, which is currently held by Seth Rollins. Uso also challenged Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship in a dark match after a November episode of SmackDown.
