Nick Khan: WWE RAW Remains On Mondays At This Moment; If We Move, It’ll Work Too

Nick Khan believes WWE RAW works no matter what day it airs.

WWE RAW has been a staple on Monday nights for 31 years. People have speculated that the show could move to a different night over the years, and that conversation is only amplified with the move to Netflix.

WWE President Nick Khan addressed RAW’s future on the streaming app during an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday afternoon. Khan says there’s a lot to consider, but RAW is staying put on Monday nights for now.

“At this moment in time, it remains Monday Night RAW. But keep in mind, we’ve got ten-and-a-half months until this deal is up and running. So we’re looking at what you’re looking at and everyone else is looking at. You have a proliferation of gambling with Monday Night Football, you have an advanced Disney package — better games — all credit to Jimmy Pitaro, [and] the ‘Bobfather,’ as you and I call him, Pat, Bob Iger, and all the other good folks at Disney.

“You’ve got the ManningCast. This year it was on ESPN and ABC, Monday Night Football. You got — last season, the playoff game, which I believe was Tom Brady at the Cowboys, or the season before, whatever that was. You also have the College National Championship, football and hoops on Mondays. So you’ve got a lot of Mondays where there’s stiff competition. That said, even against Alabama [vs.] Michigan, and the Washington/Texas game a few weeks ago, Monday Night RAW did a 0.6 in the 18-49 demo, which is a massive rating against big competition. If we stay on Mondays, it’ll work. If we move it to a different day, we think it’ll work too.”
